Bird Project

For this project, I decided to draw some kind of parrot in white charcoal, colored pencil, and a black matte board. I wanted to change up the composition and placement of the bird and its wings to change up what you usually see parrots doing. I made both wings come strait up, almost making a heart shape. This piece is going well, other than the messy smudging the white charcoal creates on top of the black matte board. Other than this slight issue, I am liking the way this piece is going.

~With the final piece, the only issue I have with it was having to use white acrylics to cover up the discoloration on the tops of the wings. Although I don't personally like that decision, I think it helps bring some more attention to the wings, and really contrasts against the black matte board. Other than this, I really like the final piece and its results.
